EclerPLEX

Audio & Video Device Management Platform

2 years
2025

Ecler PLEX is a web application designed for AV professionals to manage projects and devices, such as amplifiers, speakers, and mixers. This project was developed within the software product team at Ecler, where I worked full-time from UX research to UI design, collaborating closely with team members and stakeholders in a sprint-based workflow.

Ecler needed a unified platform to configure and monitor their audio and video devices intuitively and efficiently. Previous tools were powerful but fragmented, making setup and maintenance more complex for installers.
The goal was to design a single interface where users could easily create projects, add devices, and manage system behaviour in real time.

Challenges

Our design team worked closely with developers, staying one to two sprints ahead to ensure that screen designs were delivered on time for implementation.
User flows and wireframes were created to define an efficient and scalable navigation structure tailored to AV professionals’ needs, enabling seamless device and project management.

Design Solution

Each sprint concluded with demos to present progress to stakeholders, gathering feedback to refine the designs. Regular retrospectives allowed the team to review both the work delivered and the workflow itself, ensuring continuous improvement.

The UI design followed Ecler’s design system, prioritising clarity, scalability, and consistency with the brand’s visual identity.

The interface enables users to:

  • Create and manage multiple projects and devices from a single platform

  • Monitor real-time system performance, DSP activity, and connectivity

  • Access and configure presets and automation scripts

  • Navigate smoothly across complex system structures

The result is a modular, scalable interface that brings clarity to complex AV workflows while maintaining a professional, minimal aesthetic aligned with Ecler’s engineering-driven brand.

Outcomes

EclerPLEX was released in 2025. I was part of the product software team that contributed to the initial phases of the project, focusing on UI design and collaborating closely with the development team.
While I am no longer involved in the later stages, the work completed in the early phases laid the foundation for the platform’s evolution.

EclerPLEX is set to become a comprehensive tool for AV professionals to manage their devices and projects efficiently, reinforcing Ecler’s position as a leader in integrated AV solutions.
