Ecler VIDA is a web app and mobile app for managing professional audio devices. This redesign project was undertaken within the software product team, focusing on modernizing the platform’s interface and aligning it with Ecler’s new design system to ensure consistency across platforms.
Challenges
The main challenges included updating an outdated interface to meet new usability standards, integrating the platform into the Ecler ecosystem, and ensuring all components adhered to the guidelines of the new design system.
Design Solution
The redesign began with a focus on the platform's main screen, which served as the user’s primary interaction point. All components were adapted to follow the new design system guidelines, ensuring that VIDA became a cohesive part of the Ecler software family. Updates included refining the colour palette and adjusting the text hierarchy to improve readability and visual balance.
The redesigned components were progressively implemented across the platform through iterative testing and feedback. Our sprint-based workflow enabled us to work ahead of the development team, delivering the updated designs in time for each implementation cycle. Regular demos with stakeholders ensured alignment with project goals, while retrospectives allowed for ongoing refinements.
Outcomes
The redesign of Ecler VIDA is still an ongoing project with an expected release in 2025. I was part of the team that initiated the redesign process, focusing on aligning the platform with the new design system and improving the overall user experience.
Although I am no longer involved in the current stages of the project, my work contributed to the foundational UI and design system work that will shape the final version of the platform.
